愚亭ななくさGutei Nanakusa
An organic café along Ishiyama-dori that opened in 2010. It serves “Nanakusa Gozen” using pesticide-free vegetables from its own garden, with no animal-derived ingredients at all. Vegetarians and vegans also visit. In addition, on the first Saturday of every month, it holds a music event called “Uta no Kai,” open to everyone.

A day when I felt unwell with a cold but still had to make outside work visits. Looking for a lunch that seemed good for my health, I found this place. It's all about vegetable side dishes. I didn't ask whether it was completely vegetarian, but there was no meat at all. The seasoning is fairly strong, though, so I don't think it would feel unsatisfying. So many different sides, yet only 750 yen. That's cheap. I almost wanted a larger serving of rice, but perhaps this amount is just right for a healthy meal. For an extra 300 yen, you get coffee and dessert. I think it's a very good place if you want a healthy meal.
View on GoogleFinally made it here. Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with short opening hours from 11 to 16. I had the Nanakusa Gozen Mini Plate. The miso soup, fermented brown rice, and vegetable sides were all truly delicious, and so was the hojicha—this must be what it means for your body to feel happy. The Veggie Meat Sauce Spaghetti was good, too, with the chewiness of pasta made from Hokkaido wheat and the soy meat.
View on GoogleLunch at a place in Kawazoe, Minami-ku, that I'd been curious about for ages. “愚亭 ななくさ.” Apparently it's read as good tea Nanakusa. I had the Nanakusa Gozen. Lots of little bowls, a pleasure to look at and eat, and every single dish was exceptional‼️ The fermented brown rice also had a taste that made me feel grateful—very nice! It really felt like grandma's cooking, with gentle seasoning and deeply nourishing flavors. Very delicious.
View on GoogleA set meal packed with things that are good for your body! Younger people might find it lightly seasoned, but it's just right for me! The miso soup is gentle, too! What surprised me was the water! The moment I drank it, I thought, “Oh?” The mouthfeel was neither like hard water nor soft water, making me describe it as “gentle”! Recommended for anyone feeling tired! The lady cooks everything on her own, so let's enjoy the leisurely pace! Coming from the Sapporo side, it's on your right and you might miss it Take the right fork at the Y-junction, and there's a secret little lane on the left‼︎ Knowing this should make it easier to get in(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
