I stayed at this guesthouse for three nights and had a wonderful time! The place was spotlessly clean, the location was perfect (just a 20-minute walk from Susukino), the price was very reasonable, the owner was super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was perfect (free toast and cafe latte for only ¥300)! It was really good ✨ However, towels are not included and the mattress is very thin, which meant we were literally sleeping on a wooden board (or maybe I'm just not used to it, it's possible😬). In any case, I had a very good stay and I highly recommend staying there!

Usually at this price - which is relatively good - all I look for is a comfy bed to refresh me the next day. But sadly the sleep and experience was quite lackluster. I had to fold the pillow in half to support my head comfortably in bed. Also had to sleep diagonally to prevent hitting my head on the very low shelf above the bunk. I'm not even particularly tall, at 164 cm. Yet sleep for my 3 nights here were of poor quality. The single toilet in the room didnt have a sink or soap dispenser. Quite a bad hygiene issue. Owner also acted rude and impatient for what was just a 6 minute extra wait time for me to check out. Threatened to charge me a night and saying things like "I'm not your mother". Very foul and unprofessional. While I think the owner is doing quite impressive handling both a guesthouse and cafe by himself it seems, I found this stay disappointing and am not willing to stay here again.

Very good hostel! It has 24 hours hot water for shower. Three toilets, even one in female room. There are 8 bunk beds in female room btw. The mattress and pillow are hard which I like haha, thanks to that I sleep very well. It’s 5-8 minutes walking to the park. Free toast in the morning and you can order coffee with 300 yen only. The most important thing is, the owner changes the sheets for each customer. Overall, it’s a very good choice if your travel budget is limited. Will come again next time!!

Very good youth hostel, It is clean and quiet. I didn't expect it to be so good at first. There is a refrigerator for cooking, paid laundry service, and toothbrushes for sale and towels for rent.Toast is also provided for breakfastHe sells hand brewed coffee. Residents can enjoy discounts. I personally think the price is cheap.

This guesthouse was the only one available when we booked. It is not close to the public transport. One will have to walk pass 3 traffic lights after getting off from the metro station " Nakajima Koen" - about 10 minutes walk. Once you arrived Sapparo station, you will have to take another metro "Nanboku Line" and 3 stations later get off at Nakajima Koen Station. It was a challenge walking on the snow with a heavy luggage. The guest house is located on the side street so it wasn't easy to spot.||||There are 2 8-beds dorms on the first floor. One is female dorm and the other is mixed dorm. Toilet is inside the dorm however shower will be on the ground floor. There are one female shower room and another one is mixed shower room. So if the guest house is fully booked ( which is most of the time ) you will have to wait for your turn to take a shower.||||The guest house actually is also specialized in coffee. The barista is also the reception. They made great coffee and chai. Breakfast is included but not coffee :)||||The dorm - super tiny. There are beams on the top and is very close to the upper bunk bed. I hit the beam several times when I got up or go to bed. Be super careful if you are sleeping on the upper bunk bed. The bed is hard, I could actually feel the spring! however is super clean, the whole guesthouse is clean. I guess is hard to find a filthy place in Japan!||||The kitchen consist of a sink, refrigerator and a microwave. So you can make an easy meal out of this.||||As for the tiny smile - Is very hard to see the barista aka reception smile. Very cool most of the time. I somewhat felt unwelcome. On the other had you can see a big smile when he greeted the white guests, not sure if this is discrimination against the Asian or just me.
