We came here around 7am as we were looking for breakfast nearby. I wasn’t sure if they had an English menu so I showed the cook a picture of the tsukemen for myself and a spicy (sardine?) ramen for my husband, which we both enjoyed. I watched a video on how to eat tsukemen before we arrived so that was also a new experience for me. The spicy ramen was also a decent spicy-ness as well and tasted like sardines (but not too fishy). Would add an extra egg or some other meat in the future. We paid cash ~1700yen? The cook spoke some English but we didn’t engage in much conversation.
View on Googlei have no idea what i’m eating but if there is a long queue it’s good. the menu on the left is soup version. the right is the dry version.
View on GoogleIf you're having morning ramen in Sapporo, come here! About a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station. This time I visited at around 6 a.m. on a Sunday morning. It's a popular shop open from the morning, and depending on the timing, a line can form even before opening. There are days when a line has formed since before 6, and since the shop has counter seats only, you may have to wait a bit depending on turnover. The atmosphere is easy to enter even alone, and it's easy to pop in for a quick morning ramen. I've been more than 10 times and never get tired of it! ▷Seabura Chuka (soy sauce) ¥880 It looks loaded with back fat, but it's surprisingly not heavy! The sharpness of the soy sauce and the sweetness of the back fat are well balanced, making it a soup you want to drink to the end. The crunchy onions are a great accent, nicely resetting the richness of the back fat. The chashu is tender and the menma is well seasoned, so satisfaction is high! This is a bowl I like a lot! ▷Extra meat ¥300 If you like chashu, I recommend adding it! It adds real heft and boosts satisfaction at once! ▷Chicken-fat rice (Tori Abura Meshi) ¥250 A simple rice topped with finely chopped chashu, sesame, and nori, but it goes perfectly with the ramen! At this price, it's a side dish you'll want to add! This time I had the Seabura Chuka, but personally I also highly recommend the Curry Mazemen and the Kamatama Niboshi Mazemen! Hardly anything is a miss, and I always end up wanting to try other items. I recommend this shop both to those who want a hearty bowl of ramen in the morning and to mazemen lovers! I'll be back soon to try a different bowl! View on Google★Ramen fans, welcome → search on FB: 『台灣拉麵愛好會』, IG: twramenclub らーめんとまぜめんの店 メンゴ!麺GO!(オレ、ケンゴ) ▎Ramen name/price: 朝つけめん(並)/¥880 ▎Configuration: no adjustments ★For operating status, please check IG and the Google pin This place has only five seats, the menu is on the table, and you order and pay directly with the owner. The menu suggests first-timers try the niboshi shoyu or shio, but I had just eaten a similar item, so I ordered the tsukemen to try. The signature niboshi morning ramen is only 500 for the cheapest bowl, truly generous! The difference between morning ramen and the regular version is that the aroma oil is removed, and the topping is just simple chopped scallions. There are some music-related posters in the shop, probably the owner's hobby. There are condiments on the table for use, and there is also a trash bin in the shop for disposing of tissues. ▎朝つけめん(並): The morning tsukemen is also simple, plain noodles with a little shredded nori as garnish, and the dipping soup is only sprinkled with scallions. The amount of noodles is quite large, and since I had just eaten a bowl, I was really full after finishing! The dipping soup on its own is very salty, with a distinct flavor of niboshi combined with soy sauce, but the saltiness is OK after dipping the noodles. However, the noodles don't carry much soup, so quite a lot of dipping soup is left after the noodles are finished. The soup-wari lowers the saltiness slightly, but it's still on the salty side, so I didn't finish the soup. Overall it's also a good morning ramen choice, especially since the price is really cheap.
View on GoogleA spicy-umami wonderland in Higashi Ward, Sapporo! Addictive Kara Chuka & extra-thick hand-kneaded noodles! This time I ordered the "Kara Chuka (soy sauce)" with extra-thick hand-kneaded noodles. The moment it was brought out, I was overwhelmed by the look of it! A bright red soup, topped with sesame and chili packed on to the extreme. And plenty of green onion in the center, menma, and nira. I worried, "Will it be spicy? Will I be drenched in sweat?" yet my appetite hit its peak! One sip and it's not just spicy, it's a "spicy-umami" / "umami-spicy" soup with deep savoriness! The chewy "extra-thick hand-kneaded noodles" that firmly lift this spicy-umami soup go together superbly. The soup and sesame cling to the curls of the noodles, and the umami explodes in your mouth! The toppings, menma, crunchy green onion, and nira, add a nice accent to the spicy-umami flavor. Before I knew it, my worries were gone and I finished it all in one go! When I return, I'm curious about the Seabura Chuka and the Curry Maze Soba too, but I think I'll end up coming back for the addictive taste of this Kara Chuka. I definitely want to try the other menu items soon! I'd love to recommend this place to anyone looking for spicy-umami ramen, or who likes chewy hand-kneaded noodles!
