Nice literally gallery of Aquarell paintings. It's a mix of professional, semi-professional and amateur artists, judging from the techniques.

I visited because an acquaintance was holding an exhibition here. The address was rather vague, just Odori 5-chome, but the red roof was a landmark, so I found it right away. It is called an art museum, but it feels more like an event space, and admission is normally free too, so it is nice to drop in casually. This time there were handmade products that, at first glance, might look like something from a 100-yen shop, but because these are handmade in Japan, their patterns reflect Japanese style and differ from overseas products, making them feel familiar. Some items could even be made for you on the spot. Some exhibitors were there, and talking with them was interesting and changed how I think about handmade crafts. Photography is prohibited for some items, and many more products are on display, so it is best to see them in person.

I often stop by because you can view painting exhibitions on various themes for free. This time I came to see the milestone 10th Kita no Yokai Exhibition. It is an exhibition of works themed around yokai. Besides paintings, there are three-dimensional works, paper-cut art, masks, merchandise, and other items for sale. It is a very enjoyable exhibition! Sometimes accessory exhibitions or exhibitions on other themes happen to be held next door too, so I recommend taking your time to look at the works when you have time! You may experience a new world you do not see in everyday life, or encounter beautiful scenery and works of art.
