A hidden gem! 💎 We tried the Delhi and spicier Kashmir Curry. The rice portion was generous and the lamb was tender and satisfying. Service was really warm and attentive. The husband and wife couple even wished is a happy new year and gave us a good luck packet!
View on GoogleThis place is outrageous. My family came on Tuesday evening just before the snow festival 2016. The lady stopped us at the door and denied us service saying something about serving Japanese-speaking customers only. It was 5pm and there are no other customer in store! This restautaunt is located at the famous sighting street full of foreigners and deny service to other non-japanese speaking customers? There isalso no sign outside the restautrant saying serving Japanese-speaking customers only. Anyway, we were lucky to find a noodle place on 4th section that is truly on fire!
View on GoogleThe owner reportedly worked at DELHI in Tokyo (founded in Showa 31) and was allowed to branch out under the noren to go independent (the Sapporo shop was founded in Showa 57), so it has a very long history. It was my first visit, so I ordered the classic Kashmir Curry. I chose chicken and added a boiled egg topping. It has a sharp kick of spiciness and feels like a soup curry. And it's delicious 🍛 A deep flavor that makes the rice disappear. Even the regular level is about as spicy as a store-bought hot curry, but there is cayenne pepper on the table so you can adjust! A must-visit if you love curry!
View on GoogleI visited a little before 2 p.m. It was rather late for lunch, but all of the roughly 10 seats were full. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was shown to a table seat. After looking at the menu, I ordered "Kashmir Curry (lamb) @900 yen" The curry arrived in about 5 minutes. The Kashmir Curry was the runny type, somewhere between medium-hot and hot. The spice came through more than richness. It also had hearty chunks of vegetables like carrot, green pepper, and potato that had a real presence. Sweet and delicious. What deserves special mention is the lamb, with about 3–4 pieces. It had a lovely aroma and was very delicious. This meat alone made the rice go down. Also, sprinkling a little of the chili powder on the table changed the flavor to a pleasantly hot level, which was nice. It was a delicious Kashmir Curry. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI heard there was a noren branch of Ginza Delhi in Sapporo, so I came At the edge of Tanukikoji A small, compact storefront The menu is handwritten and rustic Since you can choose the sauce and ingredients, I ordered the Kashmir Curry, the signature of Delhi, with chicken They said the spiciness is toned down compared to Tokyo, and I, who actually can't even eat the Kashmir Curry from Seven-Eleven's curry festival because it's too spicy, was nervous The result: it was spicy, but it may indeed have been toned down, and I was able to finish it This simple curry, with spices that kick in but a clean aftertaste It's delicious! That said, even among soup curries, this kind of runny style has been increasing lately, so it may be hard to differentiate from the others Anyway, I'm satisfied to have finally met the Delhi I'd longed for Thank you for the meal
