The food was not bad, but nothing above average. One strange point was that some dishes had tiny portions while others were huge, despite them all being labeled the same as "full servings". Presentation was dreadful, as if the chef just did not care and slapped dishes together with a shovel. Not to mention that their service was slow, despite the whole restaurant was at maybe 30% capacity during dinner time on a weekend, so it was not because they were busy... If you were desperately craving for some Chinese-style food and don't care about how your dish looked and you had a lot of time to spare, then maybe this is what you're looking for. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.

View on GoogleDinner at Danryu. A 7-dish course for 2000円, same-day reservations OK. The 7 dishes: crab omelet fried rice, ankake yakisoba, ebi chili, qing jiao rou si, karaage, shrimp steamed dumplings and shumai, and bang bang chicken, plus a la carte ebi mayo and medicinal oolong tea. Satisfied to be able to eat a little bit of lots of things. But it was a bit cold inside the shop. 🚬✖
View on GoogleI used to go to the Shindo branch a lot. I was going to visit for the first time in a long while and was really looking forward to it. The day I went was Saturday, July 4, around 12:30. The restaurant seemed about 50% full. First, the seats weren't properly cleaned: there were about 2 disposable hand towels on the floor, and there were food crumbs on every floor cushion. Next, the food. I ordered the Special Lunch. The crab omelet fried rice I'd been looking forward to: when I brought it to my mouth, there was a terrible smell. That smell peculiar to old rice. You could tell without even putting it in your mouth. It really stank. Even my 3-year-old son noticed. Did the person cooking not notice? Or do you routinely use rice like that? I work in the food industry myself, and I understand some restaurants use old rice for fried rice, but I felt this was definitely not at a level that should be used. Because I'd been looking forward to it, it was quite a shock. I thought about telling the staff directly, but I didn't want a new one or an apology. So I've written the facts in this review. I'd like you to at least do minimal cleaning and taste-test your food.
View on GoogleI went for lunch. I ordered ankake yakisoba, but the sauce was runny, and the huge amount of bean sprouts gave it a strong bean-sprout smell. It was really not edible. I left after two bites; at that point the staff offered, 'Shall we remake it? We'll give you a discount,' but I was surprised when they said they use bean sprouts because of recent price increases. Apparently there are no bean sprouts in the menu photo, but because of rising prices, they're putting bean sprouts in place of other ingredients. Of course, I paid the full amount. Unfortunately I'll never go again. It used to be delicious…
