Fantastic bar! Friendly bartenders who tried their best even though English wasn’t their language. Menus were Japanese-only, but easily solved with Google Translate. Their drinks were tasty and expertly prepared, and I appreciated the fact that they had a designated smoking room away from the main dining area.

Great service, great food and drinks. Carried my friends and they loved it as well. Pasta was especially delicious. Definitely recommend!

It's in Sumikawa, but it's a favorite place that I want to come to all the way from Motomachi in Higashi Ward. The atmosphere of the shop is good, the staff are kind, and their smiles are lovely. Conversation flows and the drinks go down enjoyably. It's a place you can enter with peace of mind even alone. There are regulars who come, and if you sit at the counter, chatting with the regulars is fun too. Lately, the sansho gin and tonic and the yamawasabi (wild horseradish) Moscow Mule have a kick that gets addictive. They also have pasta and parfaits, and some items are limited to a particular month. They also have standard dishes.

The best bar at Sumikawa Station, loved by locals too! The special cocktails from the friendly staff were truly excellent. Next time I want to study more Japanese before visiting so I can have fun conversations with the staff and other guests :)
