We found this place on our way back to our apartment in Sapporo. The place is nice, and the coffee was surprisingly really good. My husband loved it — he’s truly a coffee enthusiast. As for me, I usually only go for a café latte, and I have to say, it was indeed delicious. The place is calm and cozy, with a dark interior that somehow still feels very comfortable.

It’s one of the only cafes that open at 11:00 (the others even later). The interior is quite nice with dark colours and plants in the corners. I had a chocolate coffee (650¥, served in a beautiful cup and saucer) and toast (300¥, it came with crisps and Marmelade). Only bad thing: it’s a place for smokers. I did not mind it so much but for people who really can’t stand it the smell is very strong.

Unique retro styled cafe. Unfortunately, seems their espresso was not able to be served. There was no customers other than us, so it was very quiet which I liked. All the reasons was maybe because of the time (visited there just before opening hour 11 am). But the drip coffee was excellent. Served with beautiful saucers. Seems the owner had quite a lot collection of saucers.

We found this place on our trip to Sapporo and it was delightful! The owner was extremely nice and all of his creations were wonderful! I also liked how he supported local artists by allowing then to sell their creations in his shop as well.

It is a rare find these days: a coffee shop where smoking is permitted. I wandered in without realizing this, and once inside, I felt stuck and unable to leave. It seemed to be run by the owner alone; although he greeted me when I entered, I wasn't sure what to do, and it took a while before he told me to take a seat—so I sat at the counter for the time being. While the owner's service left me feeling quite uncomfortable, the coffee and cake were delicious. I would recommend this place if you aren't bothered by cigarette smoke, the smell of tobacco, or the service style.
