A friend introduced me to this place, and the food was so good I was blown away! Since then, I always make a reservation before going. Last November I wanted my family to try it, but couldn't go because it was booked up. Reservations recommended. The photo is of つくね, but 「はつ」 is exceptionally delicious. I ordered it at the beginning and again at the end.

An acquaintance told me the food was good, so I stopped by on my way back from an errand in 琴似. When I entered, they asked whether I had a reservation. I said no, and they said, "I see," checked with someone who seemed to be the owner, then let me in. The seating area is raised, so I took off my shoes and was shown to the counter. I felt fairly close to the person beside me. When I was struggling to find somewhere for my bag and coat, they told me there was a shelf under the table, but it wasn't big enough for my coat, so I draped it over my lap. (On my way out, I noticed it apparently could have been hung on the wall.) They told me to give my first order to a staff member and use my phone for subsequent orders. The rather stern-looking owner was at the grill right in front of me. There were about 3 female staff members, plus several people in the back. I found it a little bothersome to have to order on my phone when an unoccupied staff member was standing right in front of me. The yakitori was average. It wasn't good enough to make me want to come back.

I was ripped off. At first, they brought a receipt for around 12,000円, but for some reason they took it away, then brought one for over 16000円… I thought that was expensive for 2 people, but I was drinking with a client, so I left without checking the details. Then the next day, I was shocked when I looked at the receipt. I have a low alcohol tolerance, so I keep track of how much I drink, but there were clearly extra drinks added. I had taken photos too, and the numbers didn't match. I guess things like this happen even outside すすきの.

I wanted some delicious yakitori, so I Googled places and came here for the first time. My companion said it was cold and didn't want to walk far, so I searched for somewhere close to a subway station and found 千鳥庵. The staff's greeting felt pleasant as soon as we entered. They sprayed sanitizer on our hands and showed us to seats at the far end of the counter. As you can see in the photos, neatly skewered yakitori is lined up in the display case right in front of the counter seats. Being able to order while looking at it was fantastic. While wiping my hands with a towel-style oshibori, which you see less often these days, I ordered the recommended 「白レバー」 and 「ハツ」 with beer. The beer arrived with coarsely grated daikon, and we started with a cheers for the day. Watching the owner start grilling the 白レバー at the far end of the counter, I looked through the display case and considered more yakitori. Looking back, that moment was incredibly enjoyable. We ordered all sorts of things: 白レバー, ハツ, かしわ, pork, 皮(タレ), 月見つくね, うずら, やげんなんこつ, トマト巻き, ウインナー, and more. You can order from just １ skewer, so ordering lots of different kinds, １ of each, lets you enjoy a variety of flavors. Everything was delicious, but ひな皮(秘伝タレ) was especially good! The sauce was delicious, of course, but I'd never seen skin wrapped this way. Even my companion, who didn't like skin, said it was delicious and polished it off. The 焼おにぎり we had to finish was outstanding too. It was well seasoned, and the small dried fish added a nice accent. The size was just right, and the accompanying soup was also outstanding. The staff were energetic, constantly attentive to the room, and very polite in conversation. The prices are a little high, but you can clearly tell they're using ingredients good enough to justify them. The restaurant industry is struggling because of COVID-19, and it's wonderful that the owner is working so hard while employing this many people. We'll continue limiting our outings too, but when we visit, we intend to support them by enjoying the food and drinks. The staff member who politely saw us all the way to the exit embodied everything good about this restaurant. Thank you so much for the meal. We'll be back!

A yakitori place near 琴似 subway station. I wandered in on a whim, and it turned out to be absolutely the right choice. Overwhelmingly delicious. It's unusual for ひな皮 to come with sauce, but this is truly delicious. An incredible amount of work goes into the ハツ too. The texture is interesting when you eat it, and it's intensely delicious. I've never had anything like it. Everything is cooked perfectly, and every single thing is ridiculously good. I finished with 銀杏, cooked slowly at a distance from the fire and lightly sprinkled with salt. Absolutely perfect! So incredibly delicious! The prices are fairly substantial, but justified. Too delicious. I'm definitely coming back. Cards accepted.
