Tucked away in an alley but filled with meaty smoke upon entry, Aruko (or Arco) is a top spot for the Genghis Khan meal you want to have in Sapporo. Service is very friendly, and they are accommodating to foreigners. Meats are a good balance between meaty and fatty and the vegetable pairings are great too. Overall solid spot!

Most probably you need to make a reservation to be able to get in. But it doesn't mean this place is extremely good. The lamb for barbecue isn't so fresh and tender, and the stew misses taste and I put Tabasco to save it lol. Veggies are also on the cheap side. The venue has a retro feeling but it gets very smokey. Daikokuya in Asahikawa is much better.

Hidden place for eating gingus khan. The place is large but only let sitting of about 6 people max. There is a very nice and hospitality lady there that take care of you. About 1000y for a dish of gingus khan

Hidden in an alley and welcomed by the smokey smell of fresh mutton, it is a small place but packed with incredible genghis khan! So good that i ordered another plate immediately! I also took 2 lamb ravioli and they were ridiculously packed with flavor. Highly recommended by 2 canadians foodies

Hands down one of the best hole-in-the wall bbq shop ran by a very nice female owner. This place appears to be popular so advance reservation is recommended!
