Great food at a very reasonable price! The owner is really nice and speaks a little English too

It was over 10 years ago, but I had the crab fried rice here. It was light and delicious. It's a memory from when the Hidaka Main Line was still running.

I rarely give full marks, but this was a shop worthy of it. I was looking for tsubutoji-don and came across this shop. The taisho, who seemed unfriendly at first glance, was actually a very warm person, and my impression was of a Showa-era person, rare in this day and age. As for the tsubutoji-don, I've had it at a shop at Cape Erimo and at a diner near the mountains, but this shop's had the deepest flavor and the best texture. Also, since I rarely get to eat Hokkaido grilled fish and was struggling, he carefully showed me which parts could be eaten. The yakitori also had perfect salting and grilling. The couple's teamwork was wonderful too, such as bringing out small plates when I wanted one. I'm worried about how things are after the earthquake, but this is a shop that makes me want to come to Hokkaido every year just for it.

The preparation is first-rate. However, the seasoning is bland overall. I'm not someone who likes strong flavors, but I think anyone would find it bland. I'd like salt and soy sauce to be kept on the tables. The service is wonderful, so that's the only thing I'd like improved
