Great location — right on the slopes, which is a big advantage. The rooms are quite old, but they are clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing, especially in food and beverage. At breakfast, I asked for two fried eggs (for myself and my son), but the chef seemed reluctant and refused to provide the second one, which was quite surprising. At Neve Café, the Japanese staff member at the cashier was also rather rude. Overall, don’t expect good service. The location and the snow are excellent, but the experience is let down by the service and the limited English-speaking staff.

We just spent 7 days in this ski resort, as other reviews mentioned, it is an old resort, however I found it very charming, like stepped back in time to childhood memory of holiday. Despite the amount of skiers and guest coming in and out with snow, the hotel is still kept very clean, the hotel staff are constantly cleaning, even the toilets are sparkling clean too. The building and facilities are old, but the cleanliness is a key point in my view. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Restaurants in the resort are all yummy. Buffe breakfast has wide variety and fresh crab. There is a bakery in the resort where breakfast voucher can be used too, if you use the breakie voucher, they would give you salad, drinks and breads thats enough for 2 meals. There are 3 snow mountains, ski lift staff are friendly and very cautious with safty and hazard. If you stay in the resort hotel, you can get free shuttle bus from Sapporo city to the resort, only 2 hours ride. Arrive at 10am, the hotel staff will provide free locker to store suitcases so everyone can dive into the snow straight away. This is the longest review that i have ever written. I enjoy the trip and will go back again.

Even though we were not hotel guest and came only to wait for the bus outside, one hotel lady receptionist went out of her way to help us! When she noticed we had difficulty communicating with the bus driver and the bus left without us, she took the initiative to ran towards the bus to ask what had happened. Without her stopping the bus, we would have to wait 2 hours or more for the next bus to Lake Toya. All thanks to her, we arrived today at Lake Toya on time!

The pebbles flooring layed between the walkways leading to the hotel rooms are dangerous. I fell and had bad bruises and cuts on both knees and left elbow though in long sleeves and long pants. When reported, nothing was done. Just a warning to other guests visiting this resort to be extremely careful.

The rooms were nice. Comfortable and clean and stuff. Oktoberfest is the best option for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The onsen was really nice too. The location was very nice because it was right on the sloops, so you can get to the chairlift very easily.
