I got to visit this restaurant last 2/4/22, thanks to my JTE Hasegawa sensei. This place has very good ambiance. From the outside you might think that this is just a small store but surprisingly it can accommodate 20 or maybe more. Now with regard the food, I was able to try some dishes and they were good. The prices were affordable too.
View on GoogleOur first visit, on the way to Tomamae Onsen. For some reason, the places we wanted to try were closed. We couldn't get into the soup curry place's parking lot. What to do… My wife said there was a soba shop next door, so we headed to やぶ金. The storefront, full of Showa-era atmosphere, seemed to draw us inside. To me, it felt relaxing and comfortable. I ordered ten soba, and my wife ordered oroshi soba with a mini tendon set. From the appearance, I thought this was my kind of soba, so I took a photo and dug in. As expected, the soba was satisfying to eat. The broth wasn't too sweet either, just how I like it. The tempura was crisp, and everything was delicious. The shrimp tempura wrapped in shiso was especially good. Thank you for the meal. We'll stop by again.
View on GoogleSince I was in Rumoi, I searched for a soba shop and came here. I ordered a large tenzaru. The tempura was delicious. There was also octopus kamaboko tempura (that was the best). The soba maybe wasn't quite enough to make me think, I want to come back!… The portion size was ◯.
View on GoogleA soba shop operating since the early Showa era, whose parking lot is always busy at lunchtime. After asking various people about this shop, I finally visited with plenty of anticipation. I went early on a weekday, so there were no customers before me. This time I ordered 3 recommended dishes. ①Curry rice Old-fashioned curry rice is the perfect description. It has big chunks of meat and a rich flavor without being too spicy. I could probably eat it every day. ②Ramen (shoyu) Old-fashioned shoyu ramen is the perfect description. The light shoyu ramen I've been eating since childhood. If I had to suggest anything, having some fu in it might have made it perfect. But the flavor is good. ③円月 A set with your choice of hot or cold soba, crisply fried tempura such as shrimp, kisu fish, and eggplant, plus small side dishes such as karaage, simmered beans, and lotus root kinpira. This tempura really is delicious, just as I'd heard. The smooth soba matches the strong dipping broth. Everything was delicious, with no misses, so next time I'd like to try katsu curry or curry nanban, and nabeyaki in winter. (No smoking, parking in front of the building)
View on GoogleI went for lunch with coworkers. The interior feels like an old-fashioned soba shop, with counter seats, a raised tatami area, and table seating, so I think it accommodates all ages. Besides soba, there's a variety of rice dishes, ramen, and more. After we sat down, an elderly lady came to take our orders, and we ordered katsu curry, kashiwa soba, ten soba, and miso ramen. A little later, the same lady came back and said, 'Have you ordered?' I wanted to retort, 'Heeey! You were the one who came over!' But she's an elderly lady, so we let it slide. The wait was about normal for a soba shop. The food was neither good nor bad, and everyone said it was ordinary. The prices were standard too. Overall it's 3 stars, but the elderly lady is cute, so I'm giving it 4 stars (haha).
