I qas dropping by for lunch during the trip to Wakkanai. The restuarant was very clean thw staff was very nice. We order to Ramen plus two eggs and additional shashu pork. The soup of both were very good, the eggs were soft and very tasty while the shashu pork was superp! This one is highly recommended.

Menyamiya Rumoiten is the easternmost ramen shop of the city. The ambiance is amazing. It’s well lit, clean and quite relaxing for a ramen restaurant. As for the food, the spicy miso ramen is a must-try. It is best partnered with a gyoza set or fried rice.

A branch opened in Rumoi 18 years ago by Miyabi, which has been operating in Ishikari for 27 years. Surprisingly, Rumoi has few ramen shops, and this one always seems busy. I topped the koku shoyu ramen with the special seasoned soft-boiled egg. The broth has no unpleasant smell and is packed with tonkotsu umami, clinging beautifully to the homemade curly noodles. I also topped the koku miso ramen with the special seasoned soft-boiled egg. Garlic and fried onions accent the slightly spicy broth, and the rich broth coats the curly noodles. The seasoned egg has a wonderfully runny, soft-boiled yolk, delicious when mixed with the noodles too. The fried rice has plenty of green onions and is lightly moist. It holds its own against the rich ramen without being heavy, and despite the substantial portion, I finished it easily. The parking lot is large, and there are counter and tatami seats, making it convenient for solo diners and groups. Please note that electronic money and similar methods are not accepted; payment is cash only.

The fried rice has the flavor men like at neighborhood Chinese restaurants. The ramen's heat is very good! The ramen isn't delicious. The broth is no different from instant noodle broth. The gyoza have no particular care put into them either. However, the staff are lively and there are no problems with them at all.

I was happy to be treated pleasantly even though it was almost closing time. As for the all-important flavor, I felt it was quite light. The broth itself is probably light. I think it suits people who like lighter flavors.
