Friendly family run restaurant. We took the original Rishiri Ramen. It was à good size for the price and it contained shrkmp, scallop, pork and seaweed. Would definetly eat again, only wish there were more seafood in the bowl.

View on GoogleA ramen shop across from the Oshidomari ferry terminal. It seems you use the ferry terminal parking lot. [Hours] 11:00~16:30 [Closed] Mondays I had planned to eat at the ferry terminal canteen, but a local told me it opened today (May 1), so I came here to eat. This time I ordered the "Ganso Rishiri Ramen" large portion. The shop smelled of good curry, and many signed shikishi boards were displayed on the walls. While waiting for the ramen after opening, it became full. Ganso Rishiri Ramen has a large chashu, shrimp, 3 scallops, tororo kelp, menma, green onion, and wakame, with sesame on top. The soup has a seafood-stock flavor that is not katsuobushi or niboshi, and the rich taste of kelp stock. The noodles are medium-thin and curly and the soup clings well. The shrimp shells are soft and could probably be eaten whole, but I peeled and ate them for now. The large portion is clearly bigger and more voluminous than the normal bowl. Uni don apparently starts in June, so I missed Rishiri's tourist season this time, but if I have another chance I'd like to try the uni don. Cash only.
View on GoogleA shop right in front of the ferry terminal at Oshidomari Port. Though it's a purely Japanese shop, reggae music is blasting inside. I was surprised by the difference from the outside temperature. "Ganso Rishiri Ramen" is 1,950 yen, a bold price. A fairly large bowl packed solidly with ingredients. Shrimp with roe, scallops, tororo kelp, wakame, scallops, mussels, plus chashu, menma, and shredded white negi. The soup is like a half shoyu, half shio, and quite salty. I didn't feel the kelp stock in the soup itself. Of course, when you dissolve the piled tororo kelp, umami layers in gradually. Surprisingly the sesame asserts itself nicely, assisting the umami of the half shoyu, half shio soup.
View on GoogleWhen ordering I thought 1950 yen for one bowl of ramen was expensive, but after eating I reflected that it's actually quite cheap. It had shrimp, tororo kelp, large scallops, and chashu, and was very tasty. The staff were energetic too, a good shop.
