Wonderful little coffee shop with excellent atmosphere and a warm fire place inside for the cold winter. The owner is so nice and kind. There is a gallery at the back of the shop you can go look at. I highly recommend having a nice break here.

Had the curry and coffee. Food was OK, the atmosphere of the cafe is like stepping into a time capsule

As we cycled all the way across Rishiri, we accidentally stumbled upon this little cafe called shimanoeki. And oh boy are we glad we did! An amazing little cafe with old school heating, the place will charm you out of your mind! The lady running this place was absolutely amazing! She spoke almost no English but was an amazing host! She even invited us over to a small art gallery she had at the back of her store! Do visit this cafe. And yes, try the homemade cake! It's absolutely amazing! I'm missing it already!

Very delicious, the toilet, decorations, services and meal, all of these are wonderful! If I go to Rishiri one more time with my families and friends, I would definitely bring them to have a wonderful meal here!

Delightful old-fashioned little cafe. Lots to look at as you wait for your food. They have a corner selling local goods too. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff friendly and welcoming. The ice-cream seemed to be very popular too although we didn’t have any. Bonus! Go out the back and there is a corridor with old pieces of equipment and photographs. Continue out the back and there is a small gallery with artworks made from shells and kombu plus photos of the Emperors visit.
