Rebun Island has the Momoiwa route, Rebun Falls route, Rebun Forest Road route, Mount Rebun route, 8-hour route, Lake Kushu loop route, and cape tour route. The Momoiwa route and cape tour route are must-sees. Mount Tsubame is the midpoint of the Momoiwa route, and the trails before and after it are wonderful. It is a pleasant route with constant views of the sea, alpine plants, and Rishiri Fuji in the distance. June〜August is a beautiful time to see the flowers. In good weather, the blue sky and green grasslands stand out. Starting at Momoiwa and walking to Shiretoko is better because you can see the sea. There is no need to worry about the return bus if you adjust your timing at “Kita no Canaria Park”, so I recommend walking slowly, admiring the flowers and taking photos.

My most memorable experience in Hokkaido was the hike to Mount Tsubame. We were blessed with clear weather, and since it was early morning, there were few tourists, so I could fully enjoy the spectacular views. An unquestionable 5 out of 5. However, since I had left my car in the parking lot, it was a shame that I could not continue beyond Mount Tsubame to Kita no Canaria Park. If I get the chance, I would definitely like to visit again.
