Nice to have a ramen shop in the middle of nowhere.
View on GoogleI like the main store in Abashiri and go there often, but today I visited this one for the first time between work. At the entrance, a large-built female staff member showed me to the counter as though it was a bother. I could barely hear her welcome either. I ordered the seared chashu ramen I always get at the main store. I waited with the main store's version in mind, but isn't the chashu small? I understand rising prices, but this is almost a scam, isn't it? Regular chashu ramen is 1250円, and seared chashu is 1350円, 100円 more. It's not even thick-cut. What is the regular chashu ramen like, then? The staff's attitude isn't good either, and wearing a mask with your nose sticking out is pointless, right? The floor is sticky too. They don't even appreciate customers coming in. People only come because of the good location and the Kaifudo name, right? It's not worth 1350円.
View on GoogleI went in at lunchtime. I ordered “vegetable ramen (miso)”. My first thought when it arrived was, I ordered vegetable ramen, right? For vegetable ramen, there weren't many vegetables. Sure, they aren't in the regular miso ramen, but isn't that still too little? The miso has depth, but the taste is completely ordinary.
View on GoogleI understand wanting to boil noodles for several groups at once. But unless you plate them at the same time too, of course both the noodles and soup will get cold. Also, even if you're out of sight, lighting a cigarette in the room beside the kitchen seems to defeat the point of having a smoke-free restaurant.
View on GoogleThis ramen shop in Ozora, Hokkaido, is conveniently located within a 5-minute drive of the town office. Even close to 14:00, customers kept coming, suggesting it's a place loved by locals. The shop's popular dish is miso ramen. The rich broth clings nicely to the curly noodles, making for a satisfying bowl. The atmosphere is wonderful too, and the owner's pleasant greeting leaves an impression. If you want delicious ramen in Memanbetsu, why not stop by?
