The Uminoya signature dish is amazing (one of the best tonkatsu we’ve ever had). The pork is perfectly fresh, soft and also cripsy at the same time (best served with their sauces). Good price and you got one free refill for rice, veggies, and miso soup. The woman (owner i guess) was so so friendly and kind, she even told us to each take one free snack/toy as a gift. Waiting time was quite long, but it’s totally worth it. We actually ended up playing the games put around our table -SO FUN 🫶🫶

Loveliest restaurant I’ve been in Japan! It took a while for the food to get ready but they are so good we ordered a signature dish with pork loin and shrimp tonkatsu! The space was filled with heart warming decors and the lovely owner even gave us heating pads and snacks as a gifts ❤️ Will 100% come back and recommend everyone to visit here!

That was perfect food and services. I went to here because the rating is so high. This shop and staff deserve a high score. Even we are 3 foreign guys, staff attempt to speak English with good mind service. We totally agreed we do love this shop both tonkatsu and curry. Surprisingly, before we left, women staff gave us a hot pack cuz she's genuinely care about us walking back in the cold wind.

best tonkatsu i have ever had. incredibly crispy and great portion size. veggies are very fresh. the atmosphere is very homely, with a lot of fun decorations and incredibly polite service. big respect to the cook who cut his hand whilst preparing the pork - he quickly taped it up and continued working. free candy after finishing the meal. will come back again if i am ever in otaru
