Not a lot of reviews for this place, compared with others in the central area. But the food was great! We were nervous being the only ones there in a Sunday night but the sushi was top quality and I think a little cheaper even than places nearby. The couple running it were helpful though very little English. Not a problem - just be a bit more understanding. Everything we tried was tasty but the uni and fatty tuna were standouts. Their starter soup was also way better than others, and we loved their sake suggestion. So don’t be put off by the lack of info, we had a great meal.

Excellent sushi. This restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. They speak Japanese only but enough pictures on the menu to figure out what to order. The quality is very good and fresh. We were here about 3 years ago in winter and managed to find this shop again. Very unpretentious but serves really good sushi and a decent price. Nice memories yet again.

It is a short story. Please read before going this shop. First, we walked around near another restaurant called 政壽司 which is quite famous. And then, an old lady walked nearby suddenly and talked with us. She looks like pedestrian walk nearby. She recommended this restaurant and she said the food in this restaurant is better than 政壽司. Therefore, we chose to believe her. Before we left, we saw her call someone by phone. This restaurant is quite near 政壽司. After we arrived, we decided to check what we can eat first. During we were looking the window sushi display outside, the shop owner came out suddenly and served us to go inside. At this moment, we were very curious why he knew we were checking outside. Of course, we went inside and had two sushi set for lunch. No one was inside this restaurant. And it was not like traditional sushi restaurant. The shop owner make sushi and serve us including collecting money. I don’t think a sushi master should touch the money then wash hand and then go back to make sushi. The most important thing is food quality. This sushi quality is below average. Among the whole set, only urchin sushi and soup is quite delicious. But the shrimp sushi was rubbish. The crab sushi was too dry. The price is quite similar across Otaru, around 3000-4000 per set. I opine that this restaurant is too expensive for this food quality. If they set the price around 2000, I will consider this is a good deal. Due to food quality, we started to think if we were cheated by the old lady. During the lunch, we heard a phone call but the shop owner did not answer it. Then we laughed and thought this phone call may be a signal from the old lady. A moment later, a customer appeared.😭😭✋🏼At that moment, we knew we are so fool.😭😭😭 After we finished this lunch, we went back near 政壽司. We saw her. 🤪👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 She is showing others how to go to this restaurant....
