Small family run business.. friendly staffs. Free parking opposite the restaurant. The soup base ramen was very sweet and yummy. Salmon roe was fresh and delicious. Of cos the view from the restaurant is fantastic. We had a super relaxed lunch before heading off!

I dropped in on a whim. At first the varied menu was fun, but when the food actually arrived it was far from the photos and I was disappointed 😞 Flies kept landing on me persistently while I ate, the worst 🪰 Eating while swatting flies away, the food wasn't tasty. They were grilling herring outside, and it seems flies were swarming it, and the grandma sprayed insecticide psshhh, ... That herring is served to customers, right?? The secret ingredient is insecticide, a seriously scary place.

I came over Mt. Akaiwa down to the aquarium and stopped at this shop. The kaisendon was market price, 3630 yen. I thought it might be tourist-spot pricing, but the oyakodon was 920 yen, so maybe not. In the photo it looks compact, but the rice was a small serving so it's packed with seafood all the way through. It also came with a miso soup with small scallops, and felt like an all-star lineup. I came from Tokyo and wanted to eat seafood, so I'm very satisfied.

I had the sashimi teishoku, and the taste struck me as neither good nor bad. Other menu items might be better than the seafood ones. The interior was calm, like a canteen near the sea, and the staff were very kind. It's a place to spend a relaxed time.
