Parking is available nearby, making it convenient for visitors travelling by car. The area is quiet and not as crowded as central Otaru. However, there are limited shops and facilities nearby, so bringing water and checking the weather before visiting is helpful. Breath-taking views of the coastline and the sea. It is a very peaceful spot to stop by and take some photos. The scenery is quite dramatic with the cliffs and waves. It’s a nice place to visit, though the maintenance didn’t seem very well kept. It feels more like a free tourist spot than a curated attraction. There were a few huge crows gathering at the top of the observation deck, which created a strange and hard-to-describe atmosphere. If you’re self-driving, it’s still worth stopping by for the experience.
