We went there at 7:30 and were told about 30 min wait. It turned out the wait was only about 20 min. The food was overall great and not expensive at all, it only costed less than 6500 yen for the two of us. We ordered many skewers and 4 drinks. Service was exceptional and we saw a staff wiping each page of the menu before welcoming the next group of customers.

Kushidori Otaru Honten is a fantastic spot for yakitori lovers! We arrived at around 8:30 PM on a weekday and, despite it being late, there was still a small line. We waited for about 20 minutes before getting seated. Some items were already sold out by the time we arrived, like the chicken tail and chicken skin, which was a bit disappointing. However, the dishes we did try were absolutely delicious. The highlights for me were the chicken wings and the minced chicken—both perfectly grilled and packed with flavor. A unique touch here is the complimentary **signature pepper chicken soup**, which was warm and comforting after a long day. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Otaru. Just make sure to come earlier if you want to try everything on the menu!

It’s a nice cozy place with local vibe. We had few time but the service was extremely fast and friendly. Nevertheless the staff couldn’t speak English properly they tried to do everything to make our short dinner absolutely astonishing. Food was great, plum wine is a hidden gem

We visited this restaurant yesterday and had a lovely experience. Everyone was so kind, the food was delicious, and I really enjoyed chatting with the staff. We where eating a lot:)) . A very nice place with a warm atmosphere — highly recommended!

The food was delicious, and service was very fast from very kind staff. I wasn’t sure at first, but I was also given hot soup with the meal to drink which was great. Would recommend for a lot of different skewers - meat, and less conventional types! My favourite was the Miso flavoured pork rolled with seaweed!
