I come to Minamitaru Market often, but I only recently learned this shop was inside... I didn't even notice despite such a good coffee aroma (;´д｀) After much deliberation, tempted by the price, I bought the shop-exclusive beans at about 1000 yen for 500g. Of course no one realized it was an outlet and we enjoyed it deliciously. Thank you for the treat. Next time I want to try the slightly more expensive beans in the display case ♪

A coffee shop inside Minamitaru Market, the common people's kitchen of Otaru. The focus is selling beans, but they also have a counter serving coffee. And at a bargain price of 200 yen a cup. Actually, the counter faces a rest area that anyone who comes to the market can use, and there's a coffee vending machine in the same place. Completely ignoring marketing, and instead raising visitors' satisfaction by offering various coffee options rather than the shop's profit, is a stance I'm happy to see.

I had a cup of the "today's special blend coffee" here. It was very smooth and impressive, and the price is cheaper than in big cities. Friends who come shopping here should give it a try!
