Absolutely the best hidden gem in Otaru. Wonderful neighbourhood BBQ joint operated by 2 grandmothers. No English menus available and they don’t speak English either so you’ll have to depend on the goodwill of fellow local patrons to help you (if at all). Very cozy and very smoky as the ventilators probably haven’t been working for a very long time due to the accumulated grease that hasn’t been cleaned away. Beef was wonderfully cheap and delicious and so were the vegetables and mushroom. Wanted to come back again on Thur but they close on Thurs. Cash terms only.

Great yakiniku and service! Very friendly hosts and delicious food.

A true everyday yakiniku place. The lady's personality is lovely too. It's great to have cheap, tasty meat. However, the inside is full of smoke, so if you don't like smells clinging to you, it's better not to go in.
