Came here because there's a Muslim friendly menu and it was worth it! The meat portion is full enough for 1 person 🩷 I ordered lamb grilled and my husband ordered chicken teriyaki. The marinated sauce is very delicious! The staff is kind to show us how to order. The food was delivered to us by a robot. It can get busy during lunch hours. I suggest to go around 3pm and above for less crowd. The toilet is at the 2nd floor with bidet and a sink inside. There's also a prayer room there. Be sure to ask them for a permission before using 😊

The food was okay, but not as fresh as in Sapporo, Nijyo. The lady shopkeeper did not represent Japanese service. She was not polite or nice, even with kids—really bad English. If you want your business to grow, you should change her! The service she offered shamed the shop chain and Otaru City. Please improve the service! Many Muslims come there because of the Muslim-friendly environment, but that lady is not friendly at all! The only thing that made me relieved is that they have a good mushola on the second floor.

Donburi Chaya serves delicious rice bowls with just the right portion size. The prices are reasonable and good value, especially since it’s located along Otaru’s main Sakaimachi Street. Ordering is easy, and the food comes out quickly. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, and it wasn’t too crowded even on a weekend. A nice spot to enjoy a satisfying meal while exploring the area.

Excellent halal seafood donburi bowls. We had the scallop, salmon, tuna and chicken donburi. A very welcome and hearty meal in the cold of winter. Clean toilet and prayer space on the second floor.

One of moslem friendly restaurant in Otaru. The taste is delicious and fresh. There’s prayer room also inside the restaurant.
