For some reason, I returned after several decades. The menu suggests hamburger steak dishes are their main recommendation, but katsu curry is around 3rd and has been rated in reviews, so I decided on katsu curry. Curry is supposed to be hot⁉️ right? The katsu was also about 8mm thick. The hamburger steak is cooked in a steam convection oven, so it is not dry, and that might be the better choice. The ankake yakisoba has pan-fried noodles with a soy sauce flavor.

I had the hamburger steak set for 1000円 including tax, with rice and soup. It is quite a large restaurant. The unusually spacious interior is divided into 3 sections, and looking closely, the building construction and table arrangements differ slightly in each, which is interesting. The 100% beef hamburger steak is somewhat small at 170g. It is a Western-style restaurant patty with noticeable binder and onion, while the saltiness and kneading seem restrained. It does not fall apart much when you cut into it, but it is not the type that slices cleanly either. The nutmeg is only faintly noticeable. There is quite little for a 100% beef hamburger steak. It has a reasonable amount of meat juice, but it does not gush out; the juices that gently seep into your mouth as you chew are good. Eating it together with rice fills you with happiness. Unfortunately, the patty is a little lacking in salt. It also seems slightly under-kneaded. If they brought out a little more of the meat’s umami, my mouth would be even happier. The sauce is a sweetish demi-glace. It feels like it contains plenty of tomato+sugar, or ketchup. The salt level is right, and the flavor and quantity were perfect for finishing the rice with the 170g patty. The rice is neither too firm nor too soft, pleasantly plump and chewy, and delicious, but there may be a little too much for a 170g hamburger steak. The sides are baby corn, glazed carrot, green beans, and skin-on baked potato. Perhaps they are sized to match the hamburger steak’s appearance. They are all small, or rather, cute. Opening the menu, the exceptionally extensive hamburger steak selection catches your eye, but alongside authentic Chinese dishes and curry, there is also a solid lineup of desserts such as crepes and parfaits. Considering the location, I think the menu is more than sufficiently varied. What I would really like them to improve is that the restaurant is not nonsmoking. Cigarette smoke may drift over during your meal, so be aware—or rather, it actually did. Fortunately, I had finished eating, but I still do not think this is good. The toilet is a TOTO Washlet. That was very good.

The restaurant is spacious and clean. For some reason, the water tastes really good. The two of us had katsu curry and the hamburger steak set. Both were delicious. The hamburger steak’s sauce was especially flavorful, making me want to lick the dish.
