I love this restaurant. It’s small, family owned and has some of the best ramen I’ve had. Great tempura too. Really great experience. Probably my favorite restaurant during this trip.

My friend and I came here three nights in a row! The first night we came because we were hungry early in the day and they open at 5, or a little before maybe. The service was friendly and fast. The food was good. So, when we were thinking of what to eat the next few nights, we came back! Each night we both had something different so we experienced a good number of dishes. All were good. I plan to come to Okushiri again and stay in Okushiri town, but I will make the trip to come here again.

🍤【Ojikiya Shiosai】A fishing-port eatery on Okushiri Island where piping-hot seafood ankake yakisoba comes surging at you🌊A community eatery on Okushiri Island that's easy to reach from the ferry terminal and accommodations, with a clean white-based exterior hung with noren curtains reading 『Uni-don』 and 『Ojikidokoro』. It has a presence like a refuge for meals, relied on by both islanders and tourists. 🥢What I'd recommend without hesitation is the 『Ankake Yakisoba』. Hot thick sauce comes pouring like a waterfall over crispy fried noodles, and the moment a crab-like aroma wafts up with the steam is irresistible. It's heaped with about 7 kinds of ingredients such as squid, shrimp, napa cabbage, onion, green pepper, wood ear mushrooms, and kamaboko, making it a seafood Chinese dish in a bowl. The sauce is a light salt-based one, and I'm glad the crispy texture of the fried noodles lasts well into the second half. There's also the summer-only 『Uni-don』, katsu set, ginger pork set, and more, a lineup where you can enjoy the bounty of both the sea and mountains of Okushiri. 🍃Being an island eatery, business hours and closed days vary, and the uni-don in particular is a summer-only item until around the end of August. Be sure to check and match your visit time with the ferry schedule. Recommended for 『those who want to taste island food in Okushiri』 and 『those who like seafood ankake dishes』, a staple eatery on Okushiri Island. 🌟Overall rating: ★4.0 / 5.0

One of the few eateries on Okushiri Island! Tourists were having seafood, while locals were eating shoga-yaki and ankake yakisoba. Those looked tasty too ♬ I of course went for the "uni-don!" without a doubt Lots of Okushiri sea urchin, plus plenty of small side dishes, so I was super full! When paying, they kindly told me that the sherbet the local kids were eating is sold at a nearby supermarket.

Ankake yakisoba Chunky with ingredients! Outrageously good! An elderly couple seated behind me, on their way back from the clinic, were saying, "Everything here is delicious" It seems to be very popular with locals too Next time I'll come in the season when squid is good 2026.4.27
