This was honestly the best butadon I have ever tried. The pork was delicious, flavorful, and cooked perfectly with the sauce. Everything tasted so good and satisfying. The shop is small, cozy, and friendly, which makes the experience feel very warm and casual. There is also parking available next to the restaurant, so it is convenient to visit. I would definitely come back again.

You have to try it. Absolutely delicious and i would go back tomorrow if i was still in Obihiro. English menu is available and they make one thing and they make it well. Only difference is how much pork you want. We ordered the large and it was delicious plus the mushroom soup. CASH ONLY

If you're in Obihiro, Butadon PANCHŌ is a must-visit. This iconic spot is credited with creating the famous Hokkaido-style pork rice bowl, known as butadon. The pork is thick, tender, and char-grilled to perfection, served over a bed of steaming rice with a sweet-savory sauce that is simply irresistible. Even when the restaurant is busy, the wait is worth it. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a memorable dining experience. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned traveler, this place delivers authentic Hokkaido flavors that are hard to beat.

Great example of a place that only serves one dish but serves it really well. The butadon is one of the top 3 in the city. Really close to the station and open to 700. This is a must visit if you are in the area. Place is cash only.
