Yukara no Sato is a nature-rich tourist spot located in Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido. The area is known as a place where you can experience Ainu culture. Yukara refers to the traditional epic poems of the Ainu, and here you can learn about their culture and history. Visitors can enjoy Ainu crafts, traditional dances, and music, and the events held at Yukara no Sato in particular make for a valuable experience for tourists. The surrounding area also features beautiful nature, where you can enjoy the scenery of each season. Noboribetsu Onsen is also nearby, making it perfect for relaxing in between sightseeing. Yukara no Sato is loved by many as an attractive spot where culture and nature come together.

Yukara no Sato, Noboribetsu Onsen 2020/09/09 It's on the same grounds as the Bear Park. When you get off the ropeway, go right for Yukara no Sato and left for the Bear Park — it's roughly split like that. The admission fee is a set covering the ropeway, Bear Park, and Yukara no Sato. Besides the bear area, there's also an area recreating an Ainu village (= Ainu kotan). I'd been to Upopoy that morning, but the exhibits held up just fine even compared to Upopoy, so I think it's worth coming just to see the recreated Ainu village.

Maybe because of the snow, there was no one around, and the Ainu folk songs echoing from the speakers actually created quite an atmosphere. I'd like to visit again in a season without snow.

It's on the same grounds as the Bear Park. I think you can get a glimpse of Ainu life. Inside the thatched-roof houses called chise in the Ainu language, Ainu goods are sold and you can try on traditional costumes. The fog was thick that day so I couldn't see the scenery, but it was actually quite mystical.
