Great find but far out of the way to get here. Yet there is a bus stop right next to the trail into the footbath. Limited carpark lots up the hill. Nature walk into the trail to find the open air footbath. Water is milky due to the minerals and the water flow down a small waterfall. Once your feet is in the water the calm sets in from walking on the soft sands bottom and the hot water soothes and relaxes the feet that you want to stay longer. Walk towards the falls and feel the hot water flow down the length of your feet. When we got there iy rained the entire day thus so as not to get drenched we stayed a short while.
View on GoogleFinding this beautiful foot bath was a bit challenging, but it was worth the effort. We parked in a very small parking area and walked for about fifteen minutes to reach the river. I know it sounds obvious, but expect to see deer, snakes, and other animals since you are in the middle of the jungle. We wanted to visit the source of the hot water, but it was unfortunately closed. We came back and found a place to sit, and to our surprise there was a box filled with mats so people could sit without getting their bums wet. The water was warm and relaxing. It was a great experience for sure. If you are in it for adventure, this is definitely one of the places to go.
View on GoogleThis is a unique natural foot bath located near Jigokudani (Hell Valley) in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido. It's one of the area's hidden gems and offers a relaxing experience that you won't find in many other places. The foot bath is located along the boardwalk leading to Ōyunuma, just before you reach the lake itself. After a pleasant walk through the forest, you can sit down and soak your feet in the naturally warm geothermal water while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. What makes this spot so special is that it's completely natural. Relaxing in a hot spring foot bath surrounded by nature is a memorable experience and a fun way to appreciate Noboribetsu's volcanic landscape. Overall, I highly recommend stopping here if you're visiting Jigokudani. The combination of a scenic walk, a natural foot bath, and the unique geothermal environment makes it one of the most enjoyable attractions in the area.
View on GoogleHike from the entrance to the natural footbath, comfortable and soothing soak after a long hike. Recommended to bring your own seating mat as the wooden platform will be wet. DO NOT DRINK FROM THE WATER! Only for feet soaking!
View on GoogleCame here about 3 weeks ago. Not many people walked to here although there were many people at Hell Valley earlier. It's nice to soak the feet in the water as the temperature was comfortable, less than 40 degrees. From here it's another short walk back to town to complete the circuit.
