PIZZERIA ASTRA
Is a wood-fired pizzeria in Noboribetsu Onsen, Hokkaido. Each pizza is baked one at a time in a wood-fired oven made with Noboribetsu volcanic stone. The signature menu item is the "Noboribetsu Onsen Real Wasabi Pizza," made with real wasabi from the local Fujisaki Wasabi Farm. By actively using ingredients from Hokkaido and the Iburi region, including Hokkaido cheese and Noboribetsu-grown basil, we aim to create pizza that can only be enjoyed in this place. "Creating the future of this town through food." A pizza to remember from your trip to Noboribetsu Onsen. From Hokkaido, to the world.

The best pizza I’ve had since arriving in Hokkaido! The venison was cooked to perfection, and every bite was delicious. Friendly staff, a lively atmosphere, and an all-around fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend! Will be back for sure! 👍
View on GooglePIZZERIA ASTRA was the best meal we had in Noboribetsu. The restaurant is known for pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven made with local Noboribetsu stone, and it really delivers. We visited in February 2026 and tried one of the winter seasonal pizzas with Hokkaido oysters and winter-hardened spinach, which was excellent, as well as the quattro formaggi made with local Noboribetsu cheese, which was equally memorable. We also tried the local craft beer and it paired beautifully with the food. The whole experience felt special: a warm, stylish space, an open view of the oven, and pizzas that clearly make very good use of local ingredients. PIZZERIA ASTRA’s official materials say it began as a pizza kitchen truck in 2016 and opened its restaurant in 2017, with a focus on local ingredients and pizzas baked in a special oven made from Noboribetsu volcanic stone.
View on GoogleOne of the best pizzas I’ve had in Japan. Order their top sellers - wasabi pizza and four cheese pizza. Four cheese pizza comes with a serving of honey which makes it so good. Wasabi pizza was something that I’d never come across so I thought to give it a try - and wow it did not disappoint. The wasabi complements well with the ingredients in the pizza, and the wasabi also has a nice little spicy kick to it that adds to the flavour profile. You can walk in but you can also make a reservation with the restaurant. When I was there I saw that the walk in queue was pretty long - 6-8 groups waiting in line.
View on GoogleNice wood-fired pizza to try in Noboribetsu before heading to the Bear Park. The staff were friendly in the typical Japanese manner. We especially enjoyed the wasabi pizza, which was sufficient for two people. The pizza is quite special and the wasabi is not that spicy too. If I have the chance to come back again, I would love to try their other flavours as well. Do note that there is a compulsory order of two drinks per table.
View on GoogleBest Venison I’ve eaten in my life. The pizza was some of the best we’ve had in Japan. Friendly staff & very helpful. Definitely a place to return for a wonderful meal.
