Beautiful park close to the centre of Horobetsu. In spring it's popular for cherry blossoms. In summer it's popular for Genghis Khan grilled meat and river swimming. There are lots of picnic tables and other seating. There is a large free carpark with toilets and a bus stop.

Quiet and peaceful place. It’s good for weekend and family. There’s a little spring in summer time. A small pond with salmons. Green grass and outdoor chairs are comfortable. A friend group can hold a party out side. Nice atmosphere!

【Perfect for nature study! A vast place to relax where you can even meet deer】 This park is close to central Noboribetsu, easy to access, yet lets you experience rich nature. Its biggest appeal is the detailed information boards about trees and wild birds placed all around the park. They carefully explain even fairly technical content, so they naturally stimulate adults' intellectual curiosity, and I felt they would also be perfect for children's independent research projects or nature study. I was also surprised at how used to people the deer are, perhaps because they've adapted to the environment. Being able to observe them up close is a valuable experience, but you should still mind your distance from wild animals while watching them. In terms of convenience, the parking lot is very spacious, and it's reassuring that it looks like it could comfortably fit around 50 cars. On the other hand, there were a few things that bothered me. Perhaps because the grounds are so vast, the toilets were a bit hard to find, so I recommend checking their location beforehand. Also, unfortunately, there was some litter scattered here and there, which was a shame. Since this is a nature-rich place with such thorough information boards, one that could be called a treasure of the area, I hope every visitor follows good manners and helps protect this wonderful environment. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet walk and some learning.

It's a very large park. I found a place where you can eat Jingisukan, but since I had just eaten lunch, I decided to have it next time. Maybe because it was Sunday, there were lots of families, and all kinds of people: elderly men reading on benches, elementary schoolers playing card games, people with cameras photographing the cherry blossoms, and so on. The forecast said sunny but it turned cloudy, so the weather wasn't great, but I got to see the cherry blossoms, breathe in the fresh natural air, and enjoy the scent of the blossoms, so it was a happy day. By the way, there's a small amount of bicycle parking space in the park. I'll come again.
