This is a must try place in Noboribetsu, because they serve spicy ramen. There was a bit of a wait because of a large group in front of us, but the shop provides stools within the shop for you to wait for your turn. I decided to get their spiciest ramen and the staff cautioned me, but I can take my spices. It turned out to be spicy for me, which I was quite amazed, and I left the shop with sweat on my scalp. For reference, I take big spicy for Chinese mala stir fry. Even though it was spicy, the food was delicious. I highly recommend giving this shop a try when you are in town.

Absolutely delicious! Miso and spicy ramen were perfect on a cold rainy day! The restaurant is very clean and inviting! Loved watching the chef do his magic! To the staff: when we were leaving, a new group of tourists came in and demanded why there is no vegan options on the menu. I'm sorry you have to deal with people like this. How can someone expect to have hearty ramen broth without using any parts of the animal or fish?! Tofu water doesn't make good stock. If you come to a specialty ramen restaurant, you are going to get some good ramen. If you want coffee and vegan stuff, go to a café or a bakery.

Bumped into this ramen resto in Noboribetsu Onsen Cho, and decided to have lunch here with my family. . My sis ordered Enma Ramen (JPY1300). It featured a vibrant, spicy broth topped with savoury minced meat, chili threads and bold red peppers. It also had triangular, crispy garnishes that added a nice crunch. She added an extra slice of Chashao as well (JPY200). The broth offered a punchy, bold heat that was esp welcome in the chilly weather. I ordered Shoyu Ramen (JPY1000). The broth was flavourful with a slight sweetness, paired with a very large, tender slice of well-marinated Chashu. The noodles were pleasantly chewy, though it would have been even better if the egg yolk had been a bit runnier. . The resto is rather small with limited seating, yet quite efficient. Despite its popularity, we only waited around 30 mins to be seated. We simply walked around the Onsen Cho to kill time. The resto has different Oni decorations which fit the theme of Noboribetsu.

Delicious and affordable ramen. The spicy ones were great. Not too much heat. I had the Dan Dan noodles which were filled with mince, half an egg, pine nuts, peanuts and goji berries. The sweetness of the berries helped reduce the overall heat factor of the chillies.

If you like spicy ramen then this is probably right up your alley. Personally i feel that the spice overpowered the broth a littl bit and hence i didn't enjoy it as much. It's still good, but I'll probably choose a more standard ramen over this next time. Great service and atmosphere though!
