Good place for learning about history Interesting desserts, local souvenirs (mostly horses), and Pi Man soft cream!!! If you like racehorses don't miss this place because there is a Narita Brain stand in the tower with many trophies to see

Love going up there to enjoy a cup of coffee with a nice panorama view, it's 360 view actually. The coffee shop lady was very kind. It's a nice spot to see sunset!!!

We visited Record Plaza Museum on September 28, 2024, during the first day of our 2-Day Southern Hokkaido Road Trip 2024. As part of our #Hokkaido179 Challenge, we were exploring Niikappu and looking for unique places that would help us learn more about the town. The museum was a fascinating stop, especially because of its enormous collection of records. We enjoyed listening to several pieces of music in the listening booths and walking around the museum to see the impressive collection. It was interesting to experience how people enjoyed music before CDs, smartphones, and streaming services became part of everyday life. I also appreciated learning about how the records were collected from people across Japan and preserved in Niikappu. Before leaving, I added another commemorative stamp to my collection, making the visit even more memorable. A unique attraction in Niikappu and definitely worth a visit if you are interested in music, history, or unusual museums in Hokkaido.

It was free! The entrance says there's an admission fee, but apparently only the exhibition space at the back charges admission. There's also a play area for small children. After looking around the exhibits, take the elevator up to the observation tower for a 360° view. There's also a simple café corner where you can sit and rest.
