The bridge is broken. You cannot go up, so it is difficult to see the wonderful scenery. It seems best not to try forcing your way up.

Visited to adjust my timing during a motorcycle tour. A few minutes up a gravel road that brought recent bear sightings to mind took me to the summit. The panoramic view of the town is quite lovely. Mountains are also visible in the distance, giving you that Hokkaido feeling. Please take a little care when coming by motorcycle.

You can get there by following the gravel road. I recommend approaching from the south. The view is good.

Nakatombetsu, nestled between mountains, looks like a miniature garden. It is questionable whether it is worth driving up the rough mountain road with basic paving. If you descend north from the summit, the last approximately １km is unpaved.

2025/08/09, you enter the mountain from beside a field and head uphill. The road has basic paving, but there is quite a lot of loose gravel. It is fine as long as you do not drive excessively fast. The view is good, though a little more height might make it even better. One wooden step on the observation platform was broken, and tape had been put up.
