Chicken yasai・spice level 2.5 I wanted to enjoy my second meal in Nakashibetsu, so I chose very carefully, and this was absolutely the right choice. It seems to be run by a married couple, and the interior has a calm atmosphere. The aroma of curry spices filled the air and whetted my appetite. The husband, who handles the dining room, carefully explained the spice levels, and I ended up choosing 2.5, which was just right. The soup curry was well spiced, the chicken was tender, and all the vegetables were delicious. It felt like it warmed me from within, and I think this is how soup curry should be. Since an elderly couple were running the place, I hoped they'd keep going for a long time, and I'd like to visit again when I'm in Nakashibetsu.
View on GoogleAfter visiting Kaiyōdai, I headed to Nakashibetsu, which is now bustling in eastern Hokkaido, and looked for somewhere to eat. Kitarō used to have locations all over Hokkaido, but apparently there are now only 3. I enjoyed it while remembering eating there during my student days. Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleFirst of all, it's delicious. This soup curry shop also offers a homey atmosphere you can enjoy through conversations with the staff. It has many regular customers too.
View on GoogleI've had opportunities to visit Nakashibetsu lately, and after debating where to have lunch, I chose Soup Curry Kitarō Club. I visited around 13:30 during GW. At that point, the only customers were the 2 of us. You choose your preferred curry and then the spice level. I chose kaki curry at spice level ⒈8, but it was fairly spicy. My friend chose ⒉5, and I had a bite; it was quite hot. The standard spice levels go up to 5, and apparently you can order even higher. If you're confident about handling spicy food, give it a try. The authentic spices made it very delicious!
View on GoogleI had chicken yasai soup curry. The chicken and vegetables were both meltingly tender and sooo delicious! I like spicy food, but spice level 3.5 was plenty hot🔥 The serving speed didn't really bother me. The husband and wife were both very friendly, and the place had a lovely atmosphere! Definitely coming back!!!
