I'd visited before in summer, but happened to pass by around lunchtime so I came back again. Kanehiro Jingisukan marinated in sauce is famous, right? I was worried whether they'd be open in winter, but it seems they open from 10:30 in the morning. I went in and ordered the weekday-only lunch menu ・Yakiniku Lunch 1350 yen You can choose 2 kinds of meat For the first, either lamb or mutton For the second, one of sauce-marinated beef, horumon (offal), tonkou, or torikou I went with lamb and sauce-marinated beef. Comes with vegetables, rice, and miso soup It's not the usual round Jingisukan pan, but a square iron plate with holes around the edges. The Jingisukan is marinated in a sweet sauce, so you don't need any dipping sauce and can eat it as is. It came with grilled vegetables too, and something like pumpkin mochi? You grill the meat and vegetables while mixing them on the iron plate and eat. Fresh lamb Jingisukan is delicious, but sauce-marinated Naganuma Jingisukan is delicious too. Thanks for the meal (^~^)

I wanted to eat Jingisukan, so I headed here. First visit. It's a big building, but it seems the restaurant part is only on 1F. I visited on a Saturday around 12:30 pm. When I went in, the tables were full. The raised tatami area was about 3/4 empty, and I was told to sit wherever I liked, so I sat at the back—and then the young lady at the shop told me to sit at the front! lol The raised area has horigotatsu (sunken seating). Now, the order. For Jingisukan it's got to be mutton (in my opinion), so I ordered the 1,250 yen mutton set meal. When it came, the rice was in a small rice bowl. Might be the right amount for women, but a bit little for men? And for young guys it's like two bites. The meat was mutton through and through. Plenty of chew, a strong meaty flavor, and delicious. Mutton divides opinion, so go with your preference. By the way, the yellow item is pumpkin dango. Oh yeah, by the time I left it was full.

[General] [As of 2026.4.17] A long-established restaurant run under the banner of a "local production for local consumption" restaurant. A place where you can grill and eat Kanehiro Jingisukan yourself. I had an image of it as a yakiniku place, but it covers so-called set meals, à la carte dishes, and desserts, positioning it like a drive-in. The atmosphere of the place is late Showa / early Heisei, a style that will hit the spot hard for people who are into it. As for location, using the National Route 337 bypass, you get there in only about 30 minutes from New Chitose Airport, and it's in a great spot midway along the access from the airport to Maoi Hill, Escon Field, and Shin-Sapporo. [Menu] The lineup is wide, and Jingisukan can be ordered not only as a set meal but also à la carte. Rice isn't all-you-can-eat, but there's a bug in the menu: ◯ Karaage Set Meal (1000 yen) ◯ Jingisukan Karaage Set Meal (1100 yen) Only these menu items each come with all-you-can-eat rice and soup, so if you build around these and add meat à la carte, you can have a very satisfying meal. There's no kids' menu. Things like curry are 600 yen, an anachronistic miscalculation in a good way, which I rate highly. [Payment Methods] Various barcode payments and e-money accepted [Parking] Spacious and free [Reasons for Rating] The reasons I lowered the stars are the price of Jingisukan à la carte, the pickles, and the hygiene inside the restaurant. The à la carte Jingisukan felt like around 100 grams, but it goes over 1000 yen, so I rate the cost-performance as not good. The Kanehiro Jingisukan you buy at a supermarket is several times better value, hence this rating. The pickles—maybe it was just this time—smelled like a kid's stinky breath lol💦 I couldn't really eat them. Also, dragged along by that impression, in the late Showa / early Heisei retro interior, although it's cleaned, the cluttered entrance and dust start to bother you, so I think you can avoid a drop in impression by going in after understanding and accepting that "that's just how old-fashioned places are." The meat is delicious and the set meals are delicious too, so I really hope the pickles get improved. [General Information] [As of April 17, 2026] A long-established restaurant that operates under the banner of using locally sourced ingredients. A place where you can grill your own Kanehiro Jingisukan (grilled lamb). While the restaurant has an image of being a yakiniku (Japanese barbecue) restaurant, it also offers set meals, à la carte dishes, and desserts, positioning itself as a drive-in. The restaurant's atmosphere evokes the late Showa and early Heisei periods, a style that will really appeal to those who appreciate that kind of vibe. The location is also excellent, utilizing the National Route 337 bypass, making it only about 30 minutes from New Chitose Airport, and situated midway between the airport and access to Maoi Hill, Escon Field, and Shin-Sapporo. [Menu] The lineup is extensive, and Jingisukan can be ordered not only as part of a set meal but also as a single dish. While rice isn't all-you-can-eat, there's a clever menu feature: ◯ Fried Chicken Set Meal (1000 yen) ◯ Genghis Khan Fried Chicken Set Meal (1100 yen) Only these two menus include all-you-can-eat rice and soup, so you can build a satisfying meal by adding meat as a separate item. There's no children's menu. The curry is priced at 600 yen, which is a pleasantly anachronistic surprise and earns high marks. 【Payment Methods】 Various barcode payments and electronic money accepted. 【Parking】 Spacious and free. 【Reasons for Rating】 The reasons for the lower rating are the price of the Genghis Khan as a single item, the pickles, and the hygiene of the restaurant. The Genghis Khan as a single item seemed to be around 100 grams, but it costs over 1000 yen, so the cost-performance ratio is not good. The Kanehiro Genghis Khan you buy at the supermarket is several times cheaper, hence this rating. The pickles, and this might just be a one-off, smelled like a child's bad breath, haha! 💦 I couldn't really eat them. Also, that impression dragged on, and although the retro Showa/early Heisei era interior was clean, the cluttered entrance and dust started to bother me. I think you can avoid a negative impression if you understand and accept that "this is just how things are in the old days" before entering. The meat was delicious, and the set meals were tasty, so I sincerely hope they improve the pickles.

For a weekend lunch, I had the Special Lamb set meal with salted horumon added. I went right after opening and got a seat easily. The meat was super tender and went well with the sauce. The heat of the restaurant's grill was spot on too, and the meat quickly grilled up nice and fluffy.
