This is the best meal I've had in Japan. The owner was warm and friendly. She tried her best to help us understand the menu. I had the number 4 and my wife had the number 1 in the menu. The price was very reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious.

Super local Japanese restaurant serving rice bowls and teshokus , meal sets. The focus of the menu is on meat with most of the pork dishes served consisting of pork grilled over charcoal. There is a mix of counter and low Japanese table seating on tatami mat. The restaurant is small and cosy with only 12 seats total. The food is delicious and great value for money. I already know what I'm going to order when I go back. Take out available.

The food taste really really good in this restaurant, but I can't give it a 5 star because we waited 47 minutes exactly to have our food ready. 47 minutes from the moment we ordered our food until the food is ready to eat, during this time, we sat there and waited and we missed our JR train...even though, the service is slow, the pork bowl taste really good, and I think it's the best I have ever had in Japan. I would recommend this place if you are not in hurry. Btw, we had lunch here.

Quaint little restaurant! Very thoughtful to have toys to entertain the little ones. Restaurant owner is a one wo-man show so do be patient while she prepares your food. It is a small place with 2 tables and 4 counter seats. Not recommended for big groups. I had the pork bowl and my family had the chicken rice bowl. The chicken tastes better! Overall a nice meal!

The little restaurant is managed by a nice polite lady, so waiting time might be a bit long during peak hours. But the homemade food is definitely delicious. Highly recommended especially the pork rice.
