Great canteen. The focus is on bowl meals, udon, soba and rice bowls. The food is all freshly prepared and reasonably priced. The tendon is delicious and filling. It consisted of 2 shrimp, squid and 4 different kinds of tempura vegetable. There is an English menu and free parking available. Will go back.

It's immediately on your left as you exit the west exit of Higashi-Muroran Station. Seating capacity is 8 counter seats, 3 four-person tables, and 1 six-person table. Order at the ticket machine just to the right of the entrance; water and tea are self-service. Some menu items aren't on the ticket machine, so first-timers should sit down once before buying a meal ticket. I ordered the mini tendon & mini soba set and katsudon. Looking at the reviews, opinions seem sharply divided, but I think the portion and price are just right for those who want both tendon and soba. The katsudon was piping hot and crispy, a nightmare for anyone sensitive to hot food. You could take tenkasu (tempura bits) home for free, so I enjoyed them at home too.

I had the "beef tendon curry rice". My limited express train was delayed and my lunch time got cut short, but when I told them I didn't have much time, they said "No problem", and I really did make it in time. It was a big help. The curry was delicious too.

Old-fashioned diner As the name says, it's in front of the west exit of Higashi-Muroran Station. An old-fashioned diner in front of the station. You buy a meal ticket from the ticket machine next to the entrance. The old-looking ticket machine only accepted 1,000-yen bills, and when I looked in my wallet I only had the new bills, so I was worried whether it would work, but it was fine. I didn't have much time before my train left, so I told them the departure time, and they said whatever I ordered would be fine. So I ordered tempura soba. It came out in about 5 minutes. The tempura was pre-fried. But it was warm. It's not that bad. A shop I recommend even when you're in a hurry

Good location and it's crowded. Today's daily special was grilled salmon, and the salmon was sweet and delicious. 2024/9/12 Came in for the first time in a while and ordered the daily set meal, and it was grilled salmon again. Well, it was fatty and tasty, so I'm satisfied.
