It had a peculiar atmosphere and wasn't comfortable. I thought the TV in the kitchen was for customers, but a woman stood right in front of it, so I couldn't see it. I was there for ramen, so I couldn't complain about not seeing the TV, but something felt off. The interior and magazines suggested that the owner likes motorcycles. The chashu was larger than at other branches but thin. Apparently the chashu differs by branch, even within なかよしラーメン.

It felt like they were preserving the original early flavor—this is truly なかよし, and the taste was satisfying. The thin curly noodles are thoroughly loosened and feel almost straight. They pair well with the richly flavored broth. The toppings are simple and perfectly balanced. Definitely add garlic to the pitch-black soy sauce broth; it counteracts the sharpness of the soy sauce and adds richness. There's quite a lot of lard, but there seems to be some reason it doesn't cause heartburn. I like the chashu, which has the same firm bite as at the other branches, with flavor coming out as you chew. Parking only accommodates about 3 cars. It's a residential neighborhood, so care is needed. There are fewer than 10 counter seats, so it's best to avoid busy times.

There was no miso, so I had the mixed flavor! As you'd expect from なかよし, the taste is consistent! But for someone working, the flavor feels weak!

There are only 2 parking spaces in front of the restaurant. There are several 「なかよし」 branches in 室蘭市, but the noodles here are delicious. I had soy sauce chashu ramen. The 室蘭ブラック broth isn't as salty as it looks. The chashu's saltiness is just right, but it's thin. Even though I ordered chashu ramen, it wasn't satisfying enough. An acquaintance told me they apparently use homemade noodles here, which may explain why they were so good. The relatively new restaurant stands alone in a residential neighborhood. It has about 10 counter seats but no tables, so it seems unsuitable for families. This applies to 「なかよし」 in general, but there's an atmosphere of customers silently eating their ramen and leaving without lingering, so I don't think the atmosphere is very good. The ramen arrived quickly, so I only stayed about 10 minutes.

My workplace changed and is now closer, so I'd been curious and finally went. I had soy sauce chashu ramen💴820. I'm no ramen expert, but both the noodles and broth felt somewhat lacking in flavor? Still, I think I may return. It had been a while since I'd visited this chain, and I'd forgotten the noodles weren't curly (I personally like them). If I get the chance, I'd like to compare it with my favorite 入江 branch.
