The only place in the city with a spacious area where photographs, paintings, and other works can be exhibited comfortably. Since it is attached to the cultural center, there is no shortage of aboveground and underground parking.

Many of the paintings on display are good, making me want to stop by occasionally when I have business in the building. The art at 旧絵鞆小学校 is good too, but this place focuses on paintings. Activities by painting enthusiasts are the mainstay of the museum, but I'd like them to organize programs that children, families, and people unfamiliar with art can enjoy too. Even if teamLab or trick art would be difficult, I'd be happy if it were a museum children could enjoy visiting on their days off. The program in month 3 that displayed paintings by children and amateurs was very good. I'd like to participate again. This museum is operated using residents' taxes, at about 180万円 per year. Everyone, let's visit at least once a year to get our money's worth.

An exhibition by 熊谷善正 and 佐久間恭子, two leading artists representing 室蘭, is currently being held. The moment I entered the venue, I was overwhelmed by 熊谷's oil paintings hanging on the walls. At 佐久間's exhibition, I was moved by the nostalgia of 室蘭. If you have time, I would really like you to experience it.
