Secluded little cafe run by a friendly Hokkaido native. The cafe is just off the main road through Motowanishi into Kohoku Cho You park in the car park and then walk up a short track to the cafe. There is a mix of counter and table seating. The menu consists of drinks, meal and cake sets. The food is delicious and great value. From the window counter seats you can see bird tables and feeders , attracting a wide variety of birds. Shimaenaga birds have been spotted here. The owner, Takahashi San, speaks English and is friendly and informative about what birds you can see from the cafe. The cafe has a very relaxed atmosphere.
View on GoogleThe owner here, as the name suggests, loves Bach. The place stands alone amid trees like the Schwarzwald forest. Coffee and cheesecake while listening to “Mass in B minor” are spellbinding in a good way. If you're interested, do visit. But will you be able to find it!?
View on GoogleI recommend the window seats. There is a bird-feeding area outside the window, where brown-eared bulbuls and oriental turtle doves come to visit, making it a soothing space. The location can be a little confusing even with navigation, so I'll explain. From the パーラーZEUS intersection on 国道37号, head uphill toward 八丁平, pass 蘭北小学校 (on the right), and before (有)イオンシルク, cross the steel-plate bridge with a “coffee” banner. There's parking immediately on the left.
View on GoogleI went just after heavy snow had fallen. An elderly man was clearing the parking lot, so I asked whether I could park, and he kindly guided me. It turned out he seemed to be part of the couple running this place together. The café is very quiet, the birds are beautiful, and the food is delicious. Looking out at the snowy scenery through the window from the warmth inside was so soothing. I think it would be lovely for anyone traveling by car from Noboribetsu to visit. The elderly lady who owns it greeted me in Korean and said she'd been to Korea too. The owners' kindness was so warm.
View on GoogleIt's in a hard-to-find location, a true hideaway. A woman quietly runs the shop alone. It's surrounded by trees, with classical music playing and birdsong audible too. Both the curry and coffee had a youthful, gentle flavor that I liked.
