くじら食堂 鉄ノ街珈琲Kujira Shokudo Tetsu No Machi Koohii
When you come to Muroran, head to the roadside station "Mitara Muroran"!! It also houses the "Hakucho Ohashi Memorial Hall," which has all the materials and construction methods of the "Hakucho Ohashi," the largest suspension bridge in eastern Japan. Why not take a breather at Kujira Shokudo or Tetsu no Machi Coffee inside Mitara Muroran♪

Great choices for lunch, coffee and light snacks.
View on GoogleFor me as foreigners it's really good
View on GoogleA restaurant inside "Michi-no-Eki Mitara Muroran." It's the type commonly found at roadside stations where you can easily try local specialties—here you can enjoy Muroran's famous curry ramen and yakitori (pork) at relatively reasonable prices in a casual setting. For both curry ramen and yakitori, if you want the real thing you'd be better off at a famous specialty shop, but this place is perfect if you're short on time, want to avoid crowds or lines, or just want something Muroran-famous. They serve properly tasty food, so you can't go wrong. Especially for those with kids, this place might be better since you don't have to worry about bothering others.
View on GoogleA shop in the eat-in space inside the roadside station Canasteel Mitara Muroran, beneath the Hakucho Ohashi at Muroran Port. It's spacious with a nice view, so it's easy to use casually. The parking lot is big too. Muroran curry ramen, the Muroran set, yakitori, ice cream, etc.—it has a drive-in vibe, and the food isn't highly rated. I had Muroran's famous yakitori. Not sure it's fair to judge by this place, but I confirmed it's nothing special. 2.5
View on GoogleYou can eat Muroran yakitori and curry ramen while looking at the Hakucho Ohashi. Delicious and satisfying. It was lunchtime, so the wait was long. Go with plenty of time to spare.
