The broth of the spicy vegetable ramen was very flavourful and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. One of the best ramen I've eaten during my 2 weeks trip in Hokkaido.

View on GoogleYesterday I had shio ramen in Tomakomai, so today I wanted miso ramen, and while wandering near my hotel I found this shop. I ordered the Shugyoku Miso Ramen, large portion. When it was brought out and I sipped the soup first... rich, but not heavy. The texture is like tantanmen soup, but it's properly miso. The strongly yellow curly noodles are boiled firm and cling well to the rich soup. And the chashu... so tender it seems about to melt away, yet thick and superb. Wow, I chose a good shop. Inside there are many tables for one person, each with water already set out, so it's a welcome place for a lonely middle-aged guy like me. Also, the map showed it as temporarily closed, but it's definitely open, and customers keep coming in without a break.
View on GoogleI love wood ear mushrooms, so I added them as a topping for +180 yen and this was the amount wwww I was shocked, it was so much lol I think this one meal completely exceeds my monthly wood ear mushroom intake 😂
View on GoogleInside the shop there are 8 single-person table seats 2 tables for 4 In summer they also serve cold zaru ramen. The noodles are from Nishiyama Seimen I wonder if the "shugyoku" (珠玉) in Shugyoku Miso refers to back fat. First, the miso ramen for 900 yen Muroran is famous for curry ramen, but this strong miso is good too. The miso is on the strong side, so many people may find it quite salty. Perhaps for that reason, diluting soup is also available. The garlic comes in a tube. Compared to the garlic next to it, the color of the tube doesn't look so good, so I'd probably prefer the garlic in a regular can or something, since that feels fresher. This garlic was a bit of a letdown. If this garlic were fresh, I might come more often. P.S. After visiting again later, the garlic tube had been improved. The kuro-shoyu here is quite tasty.
