The 味噌チャーシューメン has plenty of vegetables, and the chashu is delicious! My family had 塩ラーメン, which had a clear broth and was the very definition of light. Both had nostalgic, old-fashioned flavors! It's run by a pleasant elderly couple, just the ２ of them. Apparently, if the husband is out making deliveries, you may have to wait about 20 minutes. If you're short on time, it's worth asking when you enter. I live outside town, but next time I'd like to come for their main dish, お好み焼き, or the supposedly delicious 野菜炒め定食. I forgot to take a photo at the beginning, so this is partly eaten....

I had ダールー麺, listed as special ramen on the menu. Since it wasn't a familiar ramen name, I looked it up and found that it's a Chinese home-style noodle dish with a thickened soy-sauce-based broth, lots of ingredients, and beaten egg. It tastes like slightly spicy ramen with a thickened broth, but the beaten egg adds flavor to the soup. You can enjoy changes in flavor by gradually stirring in the separately served doubanjiang. When I visited, they seemed tense because of lots of delivery orders, and the couple running the place? were arguing loudly, so the atmosphere wasn't very good. They told me to take care as I left, so they're probably usually a good-natured couple?

Just as the reviews said, the 野菜炒め定食 was incredibly delicious. The あんかけ焼きそば was also wonderfully generous and tasty ♪ Another １ great restaurant added to my 函館 trips. It makes me happy that places like this exist!

R6.2.17 One of the few truly excellent restaurants in town. Everything is delicious, and I ordered a large タンタンメン, my personal number 1 favorite 🍜 They use curly egg noodles with the perfect thickness and firmness, which catch the soup nicely 🥚 The portion is just right. The slightly spicy soy-sauce-based soup is rich and full of umami, with plenty of ground sesame 🌶️ A real man silently drinks the soup straight from the bowl 🥣 The toppings are plenty of mixed vegetables, accented by the meat miso on top 🥩! It's so popular at lunchtime that customers never stop coming. 🚗 They let me park in the former pachinko parlor's parking lot behind the restaurant. Next time I'll have ダールー麺 or ネギラーメン (determined look).

The parking isn't clearly marked, but it's around the side of the restaurant. Immediately to the right as you enter is a four-person table and about ６ counter seats. The raised seating area has ３ four-person tables. Maybe there's more at the back? I heard a dog barking from the back of the restaurant. I couldn't see it, but I'm writing this as information. I had ダールー麺 and 豚玉お好み焼き. There were two of us, and they asked whether we'd share the ダールー麺. When we answered YES, they split it into two bowls from the start. There are thick yellow noodles in a broth? like the thick sauce on あんかけ焼きそば. The broth really clings to the noodles, so they work well together. The thick sauce is piping hot with a somewhat strong soy sauce flavor. Pour it over rice and it could become 中華丼. Adding the spicy condiment with chili peppers, which you can request, changes the flavor quite dramatically. It's slightly tangy, and this spicy stuff is delicious. 豚玉 is delicious. A slightly sweet sauce with aonori and bonito flakes. You cook it yourself on the iron griddle, and there's something nice about sharing it freshly cooked.
