I stopped by for breakfast during a trip to 北海道. I had stayed in 麓郷 the previous night on a dinner-only plan, so I visited the next day. The restaurant is inside 道の駅南ふらの and opens at ９ a.m. I sat at the counter inside and ordered ２ omusubi（カマンベール味噌＆醤油たまご）and 南ぷ豚汁. 南ぷ豚汁 is pork soup with いももち, and it was very delicious. Since few restaurants open in the morning, being able to eat onigiri and pork soup gave me energy.

It is at a 道の駅. I went in for lunch. The prices were reasonable for a 道の駅 menu. I ordered an intriguing item, venison keema curry. It lacked the savory flavor and broth depth of keema curry and just tasted a little spicy. I also could not tell whether there was venison, since I did not feel any meat as I chewed. My wife's keema curry uses 28 kinds of spices and is so delicious that my palate has become spoiled, so I am sorry. Still, it was reasonably priced and I had a pleasant time. The interior feels clean and is small, but you can eat inside; outside might be nice too?

2026.8.22 Stopped at 道の駅ふらの during our trip. What my travel companion wanted to eat here was 紅葉丼🍁 It had burdock and other ingredients, and the venison was tender with no gamey smell. The seasoning was just right, and we enjoyed it😋 As we left, the owner asked how it was. I thought it was lovely that they cared about their customers right to the end♬

It is on the grounds of the 道の駅 in 南富良野. I was surprised because I did not know it was a restaurant by that famous 星澤センセイ^⁠_⁠^ I had the pork soup and onigiri set. The onigiri were 「醤油玉子」 and 「カマンベール味噌漬け」, and they were delicious. The pork soup had large-cut vegetables and dumplings too, making it substantial. The staff were pleasant and the food was delicious^⁠_⁠^

This is an onigiri specialty shop at the 道の駅 in 南富良野. I had the pork soup and 2 onigiri set(¥1,200). You can choose 2 fillings you like, so I went with salmon and venison tsukudani, fitting for 北海道. The onigiri are shaped after you order, and being freshly made, they were delicious. The pork soup was generously filled, with いももち in addition to pork and vegetables, which was nice. The interior is small, but there are outdoor tables too, so eating outside might be a good idea.
