The staff are very, very kind. The curry was tasty too, but the soba I ordered was a bigger portion than expected. The food is generous and delicious, and the atmosphere is so good! An awesome spot to demolish a hearty meal after enjoying the hot springs. Make sure to bring cash; cards aren't accepted.
View on Google【 A convenient, reassuringly consistent soba restaurant 】 Having even one soba restaurant in your neighborhood that you can walk into without feeling intimidated is a real help. This is exactly that kind of place ★ ◆Consistent service Whatever the time of day, the staff's manner is calm, and it's nice that there is no strange tension. They're matter-of-fact, but never careless, so you can settle into your seat comfortably. ◆Little variation in flavor Whatever you order, you don't get that “It's a bit off just today…” feeling. The flavors meet your expectations in a good way. It doesn't have a particularly distinctive character, but it's plenty good enough for everyday soba. ◆The reassurance of dependable simplicity It's not a place to seek a special experience, but it's an easy choice on days when you don't want to risk disappointment. Its lack of flashiness lets you finish your meal calmly. It has that “strength as an everyday choice.” ◆Ease of use Whether alone or with family, the atmosphere doesn't make you feel self-conscious. The seating doesn't feel cramped, and the low-stress experience is another plus. ◆A small note about the address The name says Iwamizawa branch, but the actual address is in Mikasa. First-time visitors should keep this in mind for peace of mind.
View on GoogleI visited around 11:30 on a Saturday. It's usually busy, but perhaps because it was just before lunchtime, there were spaces in the large free parking lot, and I was seated without waiting after entering. I had the hiyashi toppachi soba. It was topped with squid and octopus tempura, which was crisp and delicious. The amount of soba was huge, a very generous portion. Today the 3 of us had hot mushroom soba, maitake tempura soba, and cold toppachi soba. There are plenty of seats, and it seems suitable for solo diners through large groups. At the entrance, there were bags of tenkasu to take home for free. At lunchtime on March 20, 2026, today I had curry rice and tempura soba, tenkashiwa. It was delicious 😋
View on Google2025.05.11 ・This relatively long-established chain restaurant is along National Route 12, halfway between Minenobu and Iwamizawa. There used to be many more branches, but perhaps only a few remain now. ・It's like a pioneer of Japanese family restaurants and is popular with families. ・I stop in intending to eat soba, but there are so many menu options that I end up ordering something else. ・This time I somehow wanted curry too, so I ordered the “soba (hot) and curry set” for 1,350円. ・The soba is sarashina, as you'd expect from Fukuzumi, with a smooth texture and dashi-rich broth for a reliably good flavor. ・The curry is slightly sweet, a soba-shop curry that appeals to everyone, and this too is reliably tasty. ・It's a consistent place that doesn't let you down, and I end up eating too much.
View on GoogleAfter seeing the cherry blossoms 🌸 in Bibai and soaking at Yupa no Yu, it was so cold lol that we stopped in for hot soba ◎ The maitake tempura rice bowl was generously portioned and very satisfying ◎◎
