千石蔵ビアホールSengoku Kura Biahooru
Sengokugura Beer Hall is a beer hall with an attached craft brewery, housed in a warehouse with more than 100 years of history. It once stood at Mashike Port and was used to store fishing gear, then moved to its current location during port expansion work in the Taisho era. Later used to store herring meal, it has carried the memories of Mashike's prosperity through herring fishing into the present. Today it has been reborn as a new cultural space with a craft beer facility operated by Kunimare Brewery. Inside, you can enjoy a restaurant, a shop, and an exhibition of a valuable herring boat. The herring boat displayed in the center is an actual fishing vessel built around Showa 25 by local boatbuilder Giichiro Hatanaka, a valuable… featuring Mashike's distinctive "daruma-hagi construction"

Very cool find in Mashike! They have a few beers that are brewed in-house and a variety of tasty foods to go with the beer. The fish and chips and chili edamame were our favorites. But best of all - the inside of this place is amazing! I think it is an old ship-building house, and there is a historic ship on display. That alone is worth the visit. I hope this place does well and recommend anyone visiting Mashike to stop here for a meal!
View on GoogleIt reopened as a beer hall in May 2026. The indoor atmosphere doesn't seem to have changed much compared with earlier photos. This was my first visit, on a bus tour for the "Haru no Aji Matsuri." The seating is more like a food court than a beer hall, with a slightly cheap feel. During the festival, beer was served in plastic cups, but on regular business days it apparently comes in glasses. There was a boxed set of 3 craft beers, so I bought one.
View on GoogleA newly opened beer restaurant, converted from an old warehouse. The atmosphere inside, with an old herring fishing boat, is fantastic! Beer is probably a matter of taste, but the IPA was very delicious. The mildly spicy edamame goes well with beer too. Recomm.
View on GoogleA newly opened Western-style restaurant and beer hall in Mashike, Hokkaido. The building itself, though, is a renovated old structure, and the surprising difference between the exterior and interior is wonderful. The wooden boat is also worth seeing. There are old panels too, which spark interest.
View on GoogleI visited for lunch on a weekday around 13:30. The diner next door was extremely busy, but this place was quiet, so I could relax and enjoy delicious food, and the craft beer was delicious too.
