🍎 Fruit Picking Experience 🍇 I got the chance to pick grapes, plums, apples, and pears! 🍇🍑🍎🍐 You’ll be provided with a basket, scissors, a small knife, and a plastic bag to collect the fruit skins. There’s no time limit, so you can take your time and enjoy the experience. Toilets are also available on-site. I spent more than 2 hours there, enjoying the fresh fruits and the whole experience. If you’re running out of time, you can also buy ready-packed fruits from the shop. 😊
View on GoogleCherry picking at the orchard we usually visit had ended, so we enjoyed cherry picking at the highly reviewed "Sato Kenichi Orchard." There are 2 options. One lets you visit the "Nanyo" field, and the other the "Sato Nishiki" field. The Nanyo option apparently allows access to both, so you can compare them. For takeaway, Nanyo costs about 100円 more. In 2025, this year's cherries🍒 seem to be early, and we enjoyed many varieties.
View on Google2024.7.19 We had planned to go cherry picking in Fukagawa, but were told cherry picking around Fukagawa was already over, so we went farther to Mashike. The orchard told us the cherry harvest was poor this year and there weren't many. Cherry picking here was inexpensive at 1000円. Nanyo had a separate charge. They said the varieties available at that time were Sato Nishiki and Beni Shuho, but we could only find Sato Nishiki. Well, we'd only intended to eat Sato Nishiki anyway, so it didn't bother us. They were delicious, just as good as those in Sobetsu and elsewhere. They also carefully guided us when we drove out to leave.
View on GoogleThis was my first visit to Sato Kenichi's orchard for cherries. There are many orchards in Mashike, but I was surprised because I'd never had cherries this sweet. At other orchards you get all kinds: sweet cherries, sour cherries, bland cherries, and many insect-damaged cherries, but Kenichi's cherries are all sweet. They were incredibly sweet! The staff's guidance was also attentive and kind. It's a little farther than other orchards, but I'll visit again next year.
View on GoogleThe cherries were really sweet! I got to eat lots, and there were unusual yellow cherries
